Before Camp

What ages can attend?
Future Academy is currently for teens aged 13–17, and we also offer business Future Academy Camps
What are the daily hours?
Each camp is run in different locations or virtually. Please check the camp you are interested in for more details.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring a laptop, plenty of creativity and an open mind.
All learning materials and refreshments are typically provided.
Is there a final project or presentation?
Yes! Students will showcase their ideas and projects at the end of the camp. Each camp has a different approach, so please read the camp details.
We often record for an ultra learning opportunity.

Will my photo or project be shared publicly?
We value your privacy. We will only share student photos, names, or project work with explicit written consent. You’ll have the option to opt in or opt out during enrollment.
Who owns the ideas and projects created during Future Academy?
Students retain full ownership of any original ideas, projects, or content they create during Future Academy programs. We may request permission to showcase outstanding work (with credit) for marketing or educational purposes, but it is completely optional.
Are Future Academy staff Garda vetted?
Yes. All Future Academy instructors, mentors, and team members working directly with students are fully Garda vetted to ensure a safe and trusted environment for all participants.
What steps does Future Academy take to ensure student safety?
In addition to Garda vetting all staff, we maintain a low staff-to-student ratio, follow clear safeguarding procedures, and ensure that all workshops and activities are supervised at all times. Our priority is creating a safe, supportive, and positive space for every participant.
Where does the camp take place?
Future Academy currently takes place in easily accessible locations across Ireland & the UK. Exact venue details (including address and transport options) will be shared with you after registration, based on the session you choose. All venues are safe, supervised, and friendly environments.
What exactly will I learn at Future Academy?
Students develop real-world skills like generating business ideas, working as a team, speaking confidently, and exploring basic tech and AI tools. It's hands-on, fast-moving, and designed to help students think creatively, solve problems, and confidently build their future.
I'm not a ‘tech person’ - is this still a good fit?
Future Academy is designed for all, whether you love tech, creativity, entrepreneurship, or want to build confidence and try something new.
We focus on real-world skills like problem-solving, idea generation, teamwork, leadership, and communication, with technology as a tool, not the focus. Students thrived in our test programs because we ensured every session was hands-on, inclusive, and empowering — no prior experience was needed.

What kind of stuff will we actually do?
You’ll be working in teams to come up with big ideas, create prototypes, and pitch your projects. Think building a business, designing a new app, or tackling real-world problems.
Do I need to know coding or tech stuff?
Not at all! We’ll teach you the basics of creative tech tools and help you find the role that fits you - whether it’s designing, leading, or presenting.
What if I don’t know anyone else there?
That’s totally okay! Most teens come solo, and we kick off with team-building games so everyone feels welcome from day one.
Will it just be classes or lectures?
No way! It’s all about doing, creating, and working together. You’ll get to prototype, present, and even compete in small challenges.
Do I need to bring anything?
You'll need just yourself, some energy, and a willingness to try new things! A laptop would be handy, but it's no problem if you don’t have one - we’ll have everything you need to create and collaborate.
What do I get at the end of the camp?
Besides new skills and friends, you’ll take home Future Academy swag and a sense of accomplishment for building something real. There will also be prizes and a certificate of completion to recognize your achievements!
Is this going to feel like school?
Nope! It’s way more hands-on and creative. We’re all about thinking differently and building cool things together.
